I've searched the archives, etc., and can't seem to come up with an answer so maybe someone here can help. Is there any 'secret' to making the action event "reach speed" work in reverse? No problems with going forward, but can't seem to get it to activate when reversing. Have a feeling it's bitten by the same bug as the front coupler, but thought someone might have a solution.RobertR .. ADF-M&RM at http://www.adfrr.com
I tried, but it didn't seem to work. What I did was use someones idea (sorry for not writing down the originator's name) of figuring how long it took to do it at the correct speed to a certain point, then using a time event to deactivate a location event (with a message about excessive speed) at the proper time. If a person is early, they had to push it too hard, if they are on time .. the location event is deactivated and they will never see it. Did this in a couple of places to spot check. Not as good as the original, but 'close enough for jazz' as they used to say.Seems like half the switching on my route is either backing up, or front coupler switching .. not always a 'bad thing', I guess since it keeps a person on their toes. Most of the routes' setup came from one or another of the various Kalmbach series for Model Railroading or from looking at prototypical patterns, trying to emulate them as much as possible. This was the railroad I tried to model but didn't have the room or expense to do it. Gotta love MSTS, even with all its warts and wrinkles RobertR .. ADF-M&RM at http://www.adfrr.com
