You want me to do some "charity work" and rescue that broken down SP train at Woodford. Do you want me to leave my train on the main track (not the siding) at Marcel? When I get to Woodford you have me lined to the north end of the siding, where there is a reverse point, and then the signals line to come back up the main. Do you want me to couple to the head end or shove? How?BTW enough with the Bible Tracks already! They only serve to irritate those who you want to proselytize -- and come across as very unprofessional, if 3DTS or the route developers want to be taken seriously in the real world. I little fun is ok, but....fwbryan

I believe the brief states to park your train at Marcel on the main..the dispatcher handles the switches for you anyways. And you need to head towards those reverse points, and when they disappear in the track monitor then make your reverse moves..and yes couple to the head end as you can't get to the rear of the stalled train..also you can take only one locomotive if you like..its up to the user. And re the Bible Tracks..I think John Greenstone did that just to bug you Btw, we have alot of things going on behind the scenes here at 3DTS, and I assure you, people do take us, and our work very seriously, thank you Keep'em on the high iron!Best regards,

The confusion for the engineer backing down the hill is "Which train am I rescuing?" The first train you come to is fine. The throttle jockey in that unit doesn't have the courtesy (Not my job, man)to tell you that and your dispatcher didn't bother to tell you either( on his coffee break). A pop-up as you approch this area would be in order to add some action and chatter between crews. I'll add one in my copy for the next time I run it.The train you're after is further down the hill. Be patient as your rolling down the hill and watch for him as you come around the curves or you might join him in a big pile of scrap metal.ps. You'd better fix the bounding box problem with the BN coal car or you won't get hooked up to the cars you left at the start of the run.

I used bboxedit and just hit fix and save. Worked perfectly, just had to do it twice, too much speed down the hill on first try.

Those darn Christian Route Designers, they all ought to be hung and shot! LOL Maybe next time I'll remove all references to God from my route. No more rail tags, no crosses on top of hills; and for that matter, no trees, bushes, ground, sky.....John Greenstone

Thanks Coonskin! I always enjoy the reactions I get! If you get a chance, go into the route editor and go to the Loop; look at the base of the cross....John Greenstone

RE: Calling TP2 Dispatcher- whadda ya want me to do?

The briefing says "park AT Marcel siding", on ON it or next to it. Imprecise communication. And no mention that there are TWO SP9808 South's out there - if you see one broken down SP train, you've seen them all, I guess. Easily fixed by editing the briefing in the .act file. But how do you fix the bounding box problem?I've given my advice on the Bible Tracks. So you may continue to prove my point re professionalism if that is your desire. Maybe you ought to use political slogans, too.fwbryan...still looking for Revelation 22-something on what is otherwise an amazingly accurate rendering of the territory.

RE: Calling TP2 Dispatcher- whadda ya want me to do?

Here's a semi-professional compromise for the Bible Tracks. Use the book that real railroad men call the "Bible" - the RR Rule Book. Then you could name tracks "Rule 5.13" (or whatever) and let us scurry to our "Bibles" to look up the reference - better yet if there is some connection between the rule and the type of operations conducted on that track. An educated quess: you used UP Los Angeles Profiles for Cajon and TP2 (even the errors appear ). You should try to get UP's permission to reproduce the few pages and distribute them as a download, (unless of course it would somehow aid and abet terrorism). Might we worth a try, through someone like Bromley at UP. They are a great aid when running over the territory, every one should have a copy.fwbryan
