It finally happened again. I cannot use the activity editor, and, judging from that, I probably cannot use the main program without it crashing. I am doing a complete reinstall of MSTS, and this will be my LAST reinstall before MSTS2. Judging by the length of time it lasts, this reinstall will work at least until MSTS2 is released.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-17-03 AT 09:58 AM (EDT)
I have found that "Train Store" program is invaluable for isolating the problem areas in your MSTS set up. Start by storing all but one route and one activity, if that doesn't work, store that route and unstore one other route. If you get a working configuration than keep adding routes and activities back until the program crashes again. Now you've isolated the problem.Sometimes the most trivial seeming issues can cause crashes, so trivial that even Conbuilder or Route riter may miss them.Since I started using Train Store I have never had to reinstall MSTS, even after adding dozens of routes and activities and hundreds of locos, which usually guarantees you will be introducing some serious errors.

Well what do you know? It crashed as I was loading the program. I'm going to have to get out all the consists and trains that I cannot replace, put them in a .zip file, uninstall MSTS, delete the regestries, reinstall MSTS, import the files from the .zip file, and import all the other add-ons.
