In my attempts to create an activity for Raton Pass 2, I need to add mid train helpers to my coal drag. I assume that I would use Action Events to ensure that the player completes the activity properly. My problem is that I want to drop off the last half of the train on an un-named section of track and pick it back up again once I have picked up my helpers. The problem is that I can not select a track section that is not named, even though Richard Garber's "Step by Step Guide to TS Activities" indicates that you can drop off cars on any section of track regardless of whether or not it is named. What should I do?
It doesn't need to be named, but it must have the siding marks to be used.Kevin Arceneaux DEFAULT IS FOR DUMMIES Lone Wolf Activities Forum on www.3DTrains.com
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately where I wanted to add the mid train helpers does not have siding markers. I thought of adding siding markers, but that would mean if I wanted to upload the activity I would also have to up load the change to the route. So I have decided to put the mid train helpers in a York Canyon and add rear helpers before heading north on the mainline. I have had trouble with this activity and it requires all 7 SD70's to make it over Raton Pass. In addition the version 4.5 physics have to be applied to all of the .eng files or you can't control the train down the Raton pass on the north side.
You can still pick up the helpers there, you do not need to worry about the siding marks for that.Kevin Arceneaux DEFAULT IS FOR DUMMIES Lone Wolf Activities Forum on www.3DTrains.com
