Im doing a activity that switches all of the industries at Columbia Falls. The last industry, which is the chip spur is a little ways south of the wye. Now the problem is setting up a path. Now once switched I will bring the loads to the yard in Columbia Falls, hook up to the empties and shove them back to their respective sidings, return to the loaded cars and go back to Whitefish. This is kinda of a complicated procedure. I just though about starting the point just south of the chip spur and have it just go to Whitefish, but venture off of the set path as needed. I dont like to get off into reverse points and all that. Add in a lil AI traffic and you'll have problems. How could I go about this?
You did not say what version of MP it is for. But if you have to go through signals you will need to set up a full path with reversing points and the headaches that go with them. It the switches are automatic it also would require the path to go through them.Kevin Arceneaux DEFAULT IS FOR DUMMIES Lone Wolf Activities Forum on www.3DTrains.com
