I found another quirk in the AE. If you have many action events that end at the same siding, you cannot change the outcome for one, the AE crashes and burns and will not let you restart. You have to delete the actions events and redo them. Jeez is this thing squirrelly.Kevin Arceneaux

RE: Another AE quirk

I did that late last night and was half asleep when I did it.To set the stage so to speak:
I set up and activity where you work over the docks. when you are done swaping out all the cars in the work order you bring the vars to the yard. I had a seperate drop off action event for each siding to the yard track. (My beta testers told me you could not lump sidings together, you would get not dones in the work order even though you had.) Well, there was a problem so I went to change the outcome for the events from none to activity complete. The AE would not let me, it crashed and corrupted the act file and it would not let you reopen that activity. Robert it would not let me change EVEN one, there are a total of six for dropping off cars on the yard track. I feel that since all the actions events were the same outcome on the same track, it freaked out or something. I am not really sure.Kevin Arceneaux

Was there any overlap of one action event (location) over another? I'm thinking of the radius of one impinging on the next one.Paul Watson

I'm just finishing a 6-pack for my route and wondering if the AE isn't even more squirrely than the RE. Both of them will dump you on your ear with the slightest 'perceived' infraction. Do you or any others know why the Work Orders have to be entered in reverse order for them to show up as 'DONE' on the F11? I entered a set in order of pickup (rather than reversed) and ended up showing 'done' from the bottom up on pickups I hadn't even got to yet. It always has them correct in the evaluation, but seems to be really strange. Also, is there a 'recursive' problem if you have an action 'reach speed' of say 15, for example that references another event which returns the first event to it's original status. The reason I ask is once the 15mph warning is triggered, it doesn't seem to do it any more without having another event change it's "0" back to "1" or 're-trigger' it.

That's normal, once an event has triggered it won't trigger again. However I guess in this case if you tick the "reversible" box, once you drop below 15mph the event will be undone, and will trigger again next time you reach 15....What I really want to know is, why are the activities not always presented in order, I am creating a series of activities, all named XYZ_01 - to XYZ_15, the screen name starting 01.. to 15... - yet consitantly they are in order except for no's 04 and 10, which are always listed last. I don't know if its a coincidence but no.10 was the first one I did, no4 was second I think.-Alan

RE: Another AE quirk

Oh, well done sir! Yes, those two at the end are "medium" and everything else is "easy"I've been pondering that, on and off, for months!Guess I'll set everything to medium, to get it to sort properly. Thanks again Eric
