I am reworking my Southwest Chief activities for Raton Pass 2 and on the Westbound activity, after the players train leaves Trinidad Station and gets to the point where the speed limit changes to 70 mph, I get a message saying "Broken Coupler Activity Over" How can I fix this?Chris Projects: Conrail Toledo Line:19% doneUpcoming Routes: BNSF La Junta Sub BNSF San Bernardino Sub
Make sure your Damping line under Spring looks like this;Spring ( Stiffness ( 1e6N/m 5e6N/m ) Damping ( 1.2N/m/s 1.2e6N/m/s ) <------------- Break ( 1.1e7N 1.1e7N ) )Add the /s to the damping parameter if it isn't already there....Also, try increasing the Break value. I usually set it to 5.1 or above.....seems to solve most problems. Give it a try & good luck Tim
Along with increasing the Coupler Break value, per above, it may also be helpful to increase the DerailBufferForce value. I generally use 1000kN - the purists will tell you this is just AWFUL! I say it keeps my trains running. required increasing both values to get through the Cutbank Crossover Curse without derailment or coupler break. Could not operate train slow enough to get through, it has to do IIRC with train length. I've seen worse on other routes, places on a track where the cars literally jump up and down. DeraiBufferForce helps in that situation. Bing
