I just noticed a folder in USA1A-Route-Activites called "Requires Special Locomotive". I don't know where it came from and assume it has been there all along. The folder has three activies: baywin, MU54 to Perryville and Wilmington Local. What is needed to get these activities to display in the menu, or are these test territories which are incomplete and best forgotten?
These folders will be found in Activities, Paths, Services and Traffic folders for the route. If you want to run them you need to be familiar with the activity editor and Conbuilder as non-standard engines and rolling stock are needed.
After placing the files in their respective folders the NEC will puke due to missing engines/wagons so Conbuilder needs to be invoked first and you can use that to clear up the missing consists. The NALW MP-54's and the ESE trainsets are needed for the Wilmington local and MU54 to Perryville. The NEC GP-38 engines and the NS GP-38 are needed for the Baywin activity. These were test activities I did while testing the NECv4. I had downloaded these trainsets so long ago I didn't remember their filenames or even where I got them.If you install these activities and then use Conbuilder to correct the errors you will get by substituting engines of your choice you should be able to get them to run.
Unfortunately the actual consists don't seem to be included anywhere. Or are they hidden somewhere else? Conbuilder is not much help if the entire consist is missing because it becomes an act of complete guesswork to rebuild consists from scratch - how many cars? What type of loco? If these consists are hidden somewhere in NEC 4 any hints or directions would be appreciated.-J-
