I'm sorry to post this, but I've searched this forum and I've read the entire help contents of the AE and I can't figure out what the deal is.I'm on a dual track mainline. I am on the track that has the player path. The other track has the AI path. Beyond the red signal (the one that won't turn green) is a switch diviring over to the AI track. Beyond this is another signal (on the player track) that clearly shows green. Why won't mine turn green or why won't the dispatcher let me pass?
My path and the AI path both go straight. The switch has nothing to do with the path. It is set for the main line. Not to cross over. Sorry, didn't mean to confuse. This is the Ohio Valley at McConnelsville. I'm southbound on the main line heading towards Marietta.
Sorry, can't help ya on that. I never installed that route. But now that you put a map up, there is a path through the divergent path. Is there another AI train approaching that could be holding the Signal red? After the AI train has passed, have you waited to see if another is coming or the signal will clear?Kevin Arceneaux DEFAULT IS FOR DUMMIES
No AI train crosses between those tracks. Yes the dual tracks do converge into a single main, but that's way down the line. Why would that signal be red when the next one down the line is green?
Which activity is this, by number?I am going through each activity. I found you sometimes have to be very inventive (read devious) to get around these blockages.Just yesterday, I completed b10-19. To get out of the Marietta Yard with the coal cars, I had to push the ones in the staging area back to the OR&W yard, then attach the other string, then push back to attach the first string of cars. The reason, if you crossed the green light leaving the yard with the first string it would turn red. So when you backed up to get the second string, the light would never let you go. The yard master never said anything when pressing the Tab key.
Well, Mr. Garber suggested as a way of "debugging" the activity was to remove the AI traffic and see what happens when I try and complete the switching manuever. I'm in the middle of trying that now.
