Anyone Sucessfullt Creat An Activity For the Illinois N

Everytime i try to do one, after clicking yes through all the missing .con files, I get some type of broken path message and the path does not save. What is causing this?

Bro after having so many problems with the route and missing consist I left it alone all together.I don't have an answer for you.The creator of the route has been really quiet on this route.Don't know if there's an upgrade coming or not.

Well i deleted all the consists and activities and that took care of most of the problems, but i still get some missing .ace files when i get to a certain part in the route.

Had the same problem.Some I had to look for in the files section others I had to manually install to the route.Took up too much time so I went ahead and deleted the route.I haven't heard any comments one way or the other concerning this route.

ssw_96 and Claude350, I'm probably not telling you anything you don't already know, but just in case .. if you try Route-Riter and run the 'check' route, it will automatically ask to fill in any missing files that are in the default routes. If they're not, then that's another story. It's been a 'life-saver' for many of us

Ok I may try that approach.Did you make your own consist or did you have to modify the consist that came with the route.There are alot od addons that are needed for this route and the readme really doesn't state what's needed.

Hi,
On a positive note about this route, I have it up and running and have made two of my own activites so far. I only had one missing ace file (signalte.ace) which the author was kind enough to email to me. I recommend clearing out the activities, paths, services, and traffic folders if you plan to make your own activities. There also was a supplement file to this route in the library that contained some missing ace files. Perhaps I should mention I only run it in Summer Clear.

Well I will give this a shoot later on today. Is route riter in the library? I though it was for route builders only though.

Yes, route riter is in the library. And it's not just for builders. It contains other useful utilities that can aid in finding missing files, compressing a route by removing unused files, etc. I'm sure everyone agrees it comes highly recommended. Back to Illinois Northern. Make sure you have run the installme.bat file when you installed the route if you're getting lots of missing ace file errors.
Let me know how you make out. If the missing ace's are the concrete structure stuff, these are available as a separate DL.
