Jul-15-01, 11:42 PM (EST) "Activity creation - I think creating the earth in 7 days would be easier" I tried for nearly 7 hours yesterday, with absolutely no success. I am trying to create a steam activity, utilising the LMS "Royal Scot" (configured to driveable). There is only one road from the service tracks at Carlisle to the station, yet my path was always blocked by a red signal at the divergence of platforms 3 & 4 - all I wanted to do was shunt some cars.
I tried "modifying" an existing activity - and that really stuffed it. Even following the Sybex book line for line, when ever you atempt to run the altered activity - the whole system crashes. Can anybody provide some guidence on what to look at (also want to factor in a water stop - how do I tell the system to stop at X point to water for x amount of time. How do I factor in AI traffic to be at a specific station at a specific time (relates to a shunting activity to be built in)
Thanks guys...I know somebody will have the info. Must just be me being as dumb as a housebrick....

Did you "save as..." with a different activity name? See the post on "Two or more activities." Activity creators need to use templates, cange consist and path names, and save as under different names to avoid the system crashing problems. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
