Conbuilder 1.5.8 is up

Corrected the check for the second wagon section in the eng file.
Now if someone could figure out how the maxvelocity line is calculated..??

Well the first parameter is just the lowest one of all the individual max speeds for the .eng/.wag files used in the consist isn't it?The second one, now there's another bit of kuju magic!The way I would like to see ConBuilder function is that on saving a consist you get a pop-up box which will give you an opportunity to amend the two parameters or just except pre-determined ones. The first parameter would be calculated as I have suggested above and the second would just be a default value that users can specify for themselves in the preferences/options area and that would initially be set to 1.

If you look at say a single engine, most of the max speeds are 74mph. When using the AE to create a consist of a pair of engines it comes out something like (35.????? .05???. Was thinking that maybe this parameter is in KM rather than MPH.

Regarding the way to calculate the MaxVelocity, here it is:The first number is : (MaxVelocity in the Eng file) divided with 2.236xx, why this number I dont know, if Mph and this result again divided with 1.6xx if Kmh. The max number in the con file is 134.8x, equal 300 MphThe second number is : (0.8*"MaxForce in the eng file")/("Total tonnage for the consist)Hope this usefull for your program

Also see if you can fix the "invalid wag entry" for real long wag names such as "F40PH_NJT_NJT1_4117" that is still in there....
These are false errors and don't affect the game!

If its legal in MSTS why would we go back and change all our file names to conform to a bug in a "support" program?

I am in the process of re-loading this nasty OS. I'll look at the code again for that once I get MSTS re-loaded.
