Well, I will try to help you out of what I have experienced. I've only been working with the AE for a few weeks now. You would have to select traffic (for that activity) in AE and pick your consist and timetable for that consist. Be sure to save your work and exit the AE. I think that should do the trick.

RE: Help cant get ai trains to appear

Yeah, Lucky...AI trains are part of the set-up of each and every activity, not a feature of the route. It's not like there is some dispatcher out there running a railroad and you have to fit your activity into his schedule. You are that dispacher. If you want an AI train, you have to put it into your activity. This gives you a lot of control over how hard or easy you make the activity, because you can schedule AI trains to interfere with your player train, or you can schedule them to just provide fun, moveable scenery. Check out the recent posts on this forum; you will see a lot of discussion about how AI trains interfere with player trains. Usually, but not always, trains going the other way on dual track are the scenery kind, while trains going your way are the interference kind. On single track, even with passing sidings, you can get interference with trains going both ways. AI trains can even interfere with each other, if you don't schedule them correctly (use the "VCR" play back to check it out). I'm working on an activity in which I have a southbound AI passenger and a northbound AI freight arrive almost simultaneously in the area where the player train is trying to do some simple re-arranging of consists. It really complicates matters for the player...and makes it a heck of a lot more fun. CharlieB
