"Dawn tank train" and "Maintenance Duty" for Marias Pas

Has anyone been able to successfully complete these activities in Marias Pass 3.1?

Well, I have got the Maintenance Duty to work. It is missing a con file, SD40-2,2 gon, 1 cab.con and also the author of the activity used Enhanced Track Audio, which is available from Railwaves.com for a cost of $7.80, I think. I have not been able to complete the activity yet because I have to go back and renumber the consist I made. I will see if I can get this to work and also Dawn Tank Train. More to come.Dave Horton

The First Activity Maintenance Duty completed as planned by the Author. As previously stated you need Enhanced Track Audio and make a consist with a SD40-2, 2 gondolas and a caboose. You can use ConBuilder to do this. The other activity Dawn Tank Train worked without any problems. If you need the consist you can email me at dphorton@msn.com and I will send it to you. I used the default SD402 That comes with Train Simulator, then used bnsfcoal.zip because I did not have enough time to find one with a gravel load, for the gondolas and bn_cab.zip for the caboose. The Enhanced Track Audio I can not help you with because you have to buy it. Dave Horton

I have the consists. That is not the problem, the problem is that no matter what I do, I am not able to successfully complete these activities, and not Grain Train Through the Night either.
I think the problem is two things:1) The all-manual switches f*ck things up. (on the Dawn Tank Train activity, even though the path is correctly set to use the right-hand main track, you are still routed onto the left-hand track. Even though I manually throw the switch at the single/dual track junction, I am still unable to successfully complete the activity.2) On Maintenance Duty and Grain Train Through the Night, the triggers for successfully ending the activity seems to be missing.For Marias Pass v3.2 I suggest the following:1) Go back to automatic switches on the mainline2) Actually test all the activities before uploading the package.

I can only speak to the Grain Train Through the Night - the problem with the activity not ending as the activity notes say it will is well known. To complete the activity you need to continue on to Essex and pull past the inn very slowly and the activity will end. This activity is an original from MS and Kuju and has been a problem from day one.Ken
