RE: track database version?

This is not a problem, just click ok. It just shows that your tdat file is more current than the one the activity was built on.Ken

RE: track database version?

To fix it open the activity in AE and then save. If it is a passenger one you may need to redi the schedule.Kevin Arceneaux

RE: track database version?

Kevin,You are 100% correct that opening the activity in AE and then saving it updates the tdb for the activity. But there are many of us here that after reading about the horror stories of the editors in MSTS that are willing to stay far away from them and problems that can occur. I have found that just clicking on the ok for the message will install the activity and allow it to run just fine.Ken

RE: track database version?

Kevin,My only point was that many of us here at the forums are not as comfortable with using the editors, due to the fact that there are numerous posts about how the editors have done great damage to some users MSTS. And why complicate something that only needs a simple solution.I know that you are a very good activity creator and have appreciated your work. But, I have noticed in many other threads that you do not accept any type of negative comments very well. I posted what I thought was a constructive and non confrontational response, yet you always have to respond with a smart a** answer. And in the past have let your responses to my posts go unanswered. That will be the case no longer. When I feel you are being rude to myself or others I will say so. I can only suggest that you learn to either accept critical comments properly offered or think through your response to see how others may interpert them.Ken

RE: track database version?

It wasn't smarta$$ed answer, I had a couple I could have really used but didn't. It is not that hard to open the AE, open the activity and then save. That is all you have to do, unless it is a passenger activity (then there is more you need to do as the timetable will not work). This is not advanced physics.I do not see where anything I said was negative or confrontational. The worse a person it do is not try to do something. It is better to have tried and failed that sat there and not tried at all, while expecting otheres to do it for you.Kevin Arceneaux
