I'm an experienced route builder (inexperienced activity builder though) working on a narrow gauge logging line. We've animated a steam donkey engine, and would like smoke coming from the stack. Although I can get it into an activity as traffic, (it has an eng file), On a hidden stretch of track, I thought I could make it stay in one place and run/smoke, but don't have the know-how. Is there a way. As a standard engine, it will run in place, by removing the bounding box. I thought this would keep it the same as an AI, but no luck. I also tried a very short track, with an immediate 20% grade, hoping it would stall at the base, no luck there either. The screen shot is as a locomotive, no bounding box, rods and cranks in motion.

RE: Animated Steam Donkey Engine as AI ???

If memory serves me right there are working nodding donkeys on one route, may be flatlands but not sure. If someone can come up with the route they are on then you may be able to get some information from the route builder.Bill
