I must be missing something, but when I create a path I appear to have no choice as to the end point. Despite entering the start and end points in the path editor box, once I right click and select place start point, the end point is automatically selected by the editor and never, if ever, bears any relation to my choice.I should mention, when I right click on the map, the majority of the choices in the drop down box are greyed out.Grateful for any help,Ken
You can right click anywhere on the path and change the end point. To get the endpoint to where you want start a thte beginning of your path and right click over a switch and then take other path till you get the end point where you want.IMHO, the greyed out choices are not coded. Hopefully this will be fixed in 2.0.Kevin Arceneaux It is time for Amtrak to become a fallen flag!

The entries in the path editor box are for display purposes only and have no relation to the actual path selected. Often when creating activities, I will put ??? in the destination box until I figure out where the path needs to end. Once a start point is placed on the track, the path propigates along the track without diverging at any switch until it reaches a dead end, at which point an end of path marker is placed. Once that initial path is laid down, you can go along it and adjust it. At any switch, you can right click and "take other exit", in which case all the path between that switch and the endpoint is redrawn. At any point along the path you can right click and "place and end point", in which case the path is trucated at that point.>I should mention, when I right click on the map, the >majority of the choices in the drop down box are greyed out. If you right click on the path itself, some of those choices will become active. Depending on where along the path you click, some others will as well. Setting up passing paths is one good example. In the end, the endpoint of the player path is less important then it might at first seem. Even if the path runs beyond the end of the activity, most activities are designed to end on an event (generally a location event of some sort), and the path beyond that point is just ignored.>Grateful for any help, Hope this was some . . .Brad "Wait 'till you start adding traffic!"
