I've created a light activity which sees the player taking a short trainload of fruit and vegetables (refrigerated cars) from the Imperial Valley's El Centro through to San Diego. Well - not exactly all the way, as the line terminates west of Campo, but I'm sure you know what I mean. The train "exits stage left"! I have used only default equipment so as to make it easy on those who (a) only use default MTS stuff or (b) don't own the Cajon Pass package (which has the great SP GP20 diesel loco) or (c) don't want to have to download another swag of units. Those with a little AE knowledge will be able to change equipment to suit the location and ownership of the line, I'm sure. The Activity has been uploaded and will appear in due course.I must commend the creator of this route - it is a delightful line and is a real credit to the patience that most of you Route Creators have. The detailing is superb, even down to the flowers and prickles on the cacti! I'd love to see this route extended all the way to San Diego. It's that enjoyable.I hope that you enjoy the activity.Bruce.

And you are to be commended for using ALL default equipment.Though I don't have the Carisso Gorge route, I applaud the idea of creating an Activity for casual route operators to enjoy WITHOUT having to download a pot load of stuff they wouldn't normally use. It would be wonderful if more Activity creators would occassionally create such "default equipment only" activities for the more common routes for those of us that use a packaged activity to take a break from route building. Thanks for the commendation, André. Most kind of you. I think it's important to allow those with a basic 'stock inventory to enjoy some of the wonderful routes that you talented blokes are producing.A slight hiccup, which you might have the knowledge to enable me to correct: The APK file, when installing, is throwing up an error message saying that it expected more files.Any idea as to what causes this? I simply packaged the activity after all testing had been completed. In the meantime, I have sent off all the individual files to those who've contacted me and am thinking of simply creating a zip with these files and instructions regarding in which folder they are to be located.Bruce.

"The APK file, when installing, is throwing up an error message saying that it expected more files."Bruce,Just to let you know that I downloaded and installed your activity with no troubles. I especially enjoy getting on the road just before dawn. Very nice!I wonder if there is any way to get a better tranistion to dawn in MSTS. The way it works now, at exactly 8am it's as if someone has flipped a switch on the sun and it goes from dark to light at the blink of an eye. I've not done any pre-dawn activities up till now so this was new to me. Thanks for the activity Bruce!Dave Mikulec (dmikulec@bellsouth.net) Ohio Southeastern System - a freelanced route http://www.rdimages.com/OSE/

"... at exactly 8am it's as if someone has flipped a switch on the sun and it goes from dark to light at the blink of an eye.... Thanks for the activity Bruce! "Dave, I'm very pleased that you enjoyed the experience. Thank you.The transition from one time period to the next is, as you say, rather disconcerting! It also occurs when the time changes from the "after dawn" period to the "mid-morning" light intensity. But it's not as noticable as when going from pre-dawn to daylight - or from daylight to dusk! Bruce.
