This is strange. I have searched the forums and have not found this topic discussed. Whenever I drive the ORW RS3s and try to couple to the US2Empty logger as in Act 2 and Act 9, the sim locks up The BNSF GP38s don't have that problem. I checked the wag file for the Empty logger and compared it to the full logger. Saw nothing different except for the mass, of course. I set up a test activity in Marias Pass (default) with the empty logger and the GP38s, no problem but as soon as I changed the player consist to the RS3s, the activity would not load, crashed MSTS. I change the consist to the Ohio Rail F7s, no problem with loading or coupling. I am assuming something is wrong with the RS3s but they work fine in the Ohio Rail activities until they couple to the US2empty logger. They couple to the other cars just fine, but not the empty logger. This one has me stumped.
Hi,May be that both the RS3 and the logger have a bounding box/length problem and that they interfering which each other in such a way that it gives problems. BTW the RS3 in the Ohio Packs is the old one. The author has published an update last summer, if believe in the file library. The update is just the shape file and can be used with every repaint.Dick van den Hoven
No, I checked the bounding boxes. That was my first thought too. They are not interfering with each other as indicated by control, number pad +. As for the RS3 update, I justed downloaded Ohio Rail and installed it January 6th. I will search for an update here and at Avsim. Thank you for your time.
