Jul-11-01, 04:13 PM (EST) "Adding to an activity question?" I finally did it. Set up a switching activity where I just picked up 2 cars on a siding and moved them to the track next to it. Dosen't sound like much to you I'm sure but I had to completely reinstall the game 4 times to get to this point. Was wondering, to add more actions to this activity is it as simple as adding more action events? Jul-17-01, 04:16 PM (EST) 1. "RE: Adding to an activity question?" Maybe you can help me then. I set up a simple switching activity, but when I get there to pickup some cars, I can't seem to set the switch to be able to back in and pick them up. I have start & end points set correctly; I have an action event to pickup the cars; a location event later down the mainline to let me know it was successful. I've tried this at least fifty different times with different combinations in different places and can't seem to get it to work most of the time. Am I leaving something out? Hi Denny!Reading the tutorial certainly helps when creating an Activity based on one of the switch-friendly routes (like Maria´s Pass).But try to reach a siding on, let´s say, the NE Corridor and you will face problems!!!!!!!!!!!One cheating way is to make a reverse point on your route in front of the switch, then "use other exit" and finally a new reverse point at the end of the siding. That opens the switch, so you can use the siding, but you can not operate the switch itself using the G key (or Shift-G!)
