I really like PO&N6 but the AI trains are frustrating. I would like to eliminate the AI trains for some activities that came with PO&N6. Can I just go to the activity editor and safely delete the AI trains? Also, is anyone working on activites for download in the library for PO&N6?
Good Morning:In the lower right hand corner of the Acitivity Editor, there is a option that you can click on to eliminate the AI trains. If you select none you will have the option of coming back later and replacing the AI traffic.Hope this helpsChandler
They work fine but they get in the way. Im use to model railroading. I like to have the freedom to go where I want and do what I want. I do a lot of switching and running between towns and I find myself either having to stop and wait or even right in the path of the unknown AI trains. AI trains just dont work very well in "open-ended" activities (those without a specific work order).
I think I understand where you're comming from. I replaced Jims AI trains with one of my own and I made my own simple activity so I could start near the spawn site so I could see what they were doing. I was amased to see them wait for me instead of always grapping the single track block when within a couple signals approach distance. Then after I drove to the end of my activity path and started to rome free, the AI started to make me wait for them like they always do in the open ended activities. I think what makes a open ended activity is when you delete the event that is created by default when you create an activity and what makes them drivable is the way Jim places mostly manuel switches except for where the AI joins and leaves.)
