When I open the consist editor in the Activity editor, I find some engines and cars listed more than once. One car is listed ten times. I am talking about the exact same car or engine. I can't find where the AE program resides. Is it in MSTS somewhere? I even have multiple entries in conbuilder. No more than two at a time, tho. This isn't a problem, everything works fine. Its just that the list is so long that it takes me awhile to find what I need. Plus it just bugs me. I have searched Regedit for entries with no luck. Found the HWRenderer folder but that didn't help. Does anyone else have this problem?
I made a loco that had distance level problems. It created all kinds of problems before I got it fixed. One of the problems was 10 or more entries in the consist editor. I had to remove the loco and all its references in consist/activity files.
You need to go and check all the wags and engs. Sometimes when ppl use eng and wag files for new skins they don't always change the lines that need to be changed. What ones are showing up more than once?Kevin Arceneaux It is time for Amtrak to become a fallen flag!
Multiple wag/eng files - Some are uploaded that way. I have repackaged some repaints into single downloads. This is to reduce the number of downloads for a person to either create or run an activity. This gives the activity designer more choices for rolling stock and keeps the number of downloads for the end user to a minimum.Multiple wags of the same car/engine showing up in the consist editor. This is either one of two things: 1. Failure of the reskinner to go through the eng/wag file and change all the references or 2. copying the eng and sd file from another engine and not changing the required lines to point to the correct files or not renaming the files correctly. Things to correct this: 1. make sure all the files are named correctly, 2. in the sd file change the s filename to the correct one, and 3. in the eng file change four lines to the correct names, they are: This is how I fixed the GP9 to make it work for a PRR GP9 reskin, 1. First line Wagon ( GP9 TO Wagon ( GP9PRR 2. after the engine sound line Engine ( GP9 ) TO Engine ( GP9PRR ) 3. Another Wagon after the exhaust definition Wagon ( GP9 ) TO Wagon ( GP9PRR ) 4. The name line right before the description Name ( GP9 ) TO Name ( GP9PRR ) 5. Between the light section and the effects sectionJust change the lines so they match the ones for the engine you are using.Kevin Arceneaux It is time for Amtrak to become a fallen flag!
