um how do you select which car you want to have the view for, the #5 view if you have multable cars with views. how do you select which one.

Hi,Simple answer, you can't.
The first car in the consist that have an passengerview will be the selected one.
If you want another car, you need to be sure the others has no internal view specified in the eng file.Dick van den Hoven

In testing a new route I experienced an uncuppling at a switch. I went back and re-coupled and discovered that I had lost my coupula-view in my caboose. Later I noticed that quiting for dinner and comming back and opening up a save the coupala-view was back again so the game appearently re-calculates which car has the view when the save sets up to run but if you do some switching you can loose it and I think thats another thing in MSTS that kind of sucks.

I have a similarly strange situation involving several cabooses with cabviews. I have an activity where I couple a caboose directly behind the locomotive, and later, couple other cabooses up too. After coupling a certain caboose (about 6 or 7 cars back in the train), I am able to use the #5 function for the cupola view, but instead of looking out of the 7th caboose, I am looking out of the first caboose directly behind the locomotive. This view is not available with only the first caboose coupled. (I hope this long explanation makes sense...) Weird, huh?MC
