Jul-11-01, 01:49 AM (EST) "Disaster with a Activity " I downloaded from train-sim an Activity by Steve Davis.
After I installed it as per unpacker a big error came up.
"ERROR READING TRAIN DATABASE FILE"
"File:Trains\Trainset\GP38_BN\GP38bn.eng"I found those two locos and installed them as per direction.
I cannot even get into any parts of the game.
I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling with the same error.Any ideas!!!!!Cannot even play the simplest activity now.AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHThanks

Jul-11-01, 04:21 AM (EST) 1. "RE: Disaster with a Activity " I got that error to with another activity I downloaded. I discovered that the error occurs because a consist is referring to this locomotive. Not sure why it would'nt work when you installed the missing loco though. I solved my problem by guessing which of the consist files were associated with that locomotive. I opened them with wordpad and there is a line in there which says "EngineData ( Dash9 Dash9 )" referring to the locomotive. If it says the name of your loco then just delete the consist file and you will have solved your problem. It might be wise to delete the activity too. That can also be quite some detective work.It still seems that some of activity designers forget that they used custom loco's in their acitivity. Please tell us if you do in a readme file so that we can avoid future problems.
