Can an AI train pick up a consist? – image 2

Has anyone ever gotten an AI train to couple to a consist and then drive off with it? Igor and I have been working in the laboratory trying to make this happen, and nothing comes of it.I've tried using reversing points, and waiting points, and I can get the AI locos to snuggle up real close, but no coupling takes place. About the best outcome I've gotten so far is the AI loco stops, knows it has hit something but has not derailed, and so it creeps away very slowly... but it will not take the cars with it.

RE: Can an AI train pick up a consist?

Ive basically observed the same effects as you have .
Ive been able to get an AI loco to push a stationary consist, but extremely slowly, less than 1 mph.
Ive not been able to get an AI loco to pull a stationary consist.
It doesnt couple.
I was able once to get one AI train to couple to the rear of another AI train ,and both trains eventually left as the one train.
Very hard to achieve without derailing, and not much point.mauried
