Jul-05-01, 02:23 PM (EST) "Durability problems when using front of engine." I'm developing a freight pickup activity which requires positioning cars using the front of the engine. No matter what I do I am getting tons of freight durability exceeded events. I have played with the Durability and Velocity values for the consists but nothing seems to decrease the events.I know there have been complaints about durability problems, but has anyone else found that when using the front of the engine for coupling they are generated for just about every change in velocity or power setting?I have about given up on worrying about the durability, I will probably just continue with the development of the activity and hope that this issue is fixed in a future release. LAST EDITED ON Jul-05-01 AT 04:23 PM (EST)From what I've read so far, there appears to be a bug that will not allow front couplers to be used. It would seem ONLY rear couplers are working as they should be. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

What would happen if you created an engine consist of 2 x GP38 with front couplers facing front and rear as is common in the prototype? I'll try later, but if anyone has tried this I would be curious as to the result.DC Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

It seems that whenever I couple anything to the front of the locomotive that I'm driving, I can't go anywhere. This is really frustrating, because it really limits my switching options.

There must be something in the ENG file (other locos worked ok) but it is beyond my current knowledge.Dermot Tuohey Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
