Has anyone had any success with creating an activity for this route. I have tried with very little success in creating one. The signaling is confusing with the permissive blocks letting trains go through sidings and either not stopping or going by the red signal by three or four car lengths and then stopping fouling the mainline. If the player train is just entering single track from one siding, the AI will let one in from the other direction causing a headon. I have tried by creating short paths to stop this but to no avail. I really like this route but if I can't get this figured out it is destined to the recycle bin.Kevin Arceneaux gdapia
Kev, I sent you an e-mail on this last week when I discovered the problem. Since went into Route Editor, and appears most sidings are protected by regular BNSF interval signals instead of interlockings. This long single track route would be neat to set up for meets, but it's going to require replacing signals at (rough guess based on a few minutes in RE) 75% of sidings. Based on my experience with signalling the Funnel, this looks like a fairly simple but time-consuming task, complicated by the fact that one of the interlocking signals needed does not appear in wire frame mode in the editor, meaning I have no clue how to place it. Best solution on this route would be to install the CLsigs and replace every signal protecting entrances and exits to sidings with CL absolutes. I also advised Mr. Sullivan to make sure to use absolute/interlocking signals on the KP sub. If my Cajon route gets held up much longer thanks to my PayPal payment, I may tackle the BR sub signal issue myself and see if Mr. Sullivan is OK with uploading a revision.Kent
I saw the email, just was hoping someone else might have stumbled on tho something else we could do. Oh well, back to your route. Got a nice one where you are south of Folkston and can see trains moving in front of you but you have to wait for a few minutes for it to clear ahead of you. Might clean it up and upload it to T-S.The paypal fiasco has me a bit pissed to.Kevin Arceneaux gdapia
