Hi,I have downloaded your activity, bcdef, but it will not work.
This are the files that are in your package:You packaged an .asv file. This is a compiled (compressed) form of the act file that MSTS uses internally.
I think you had the intention to package the .apk file. This is a Activity package, that contains all the necessary files:
- Activity file (.act)
- Service file(s) (.srv)
- Path file(s) (.pat)
- Traffic file (.trv)
- Consist file(s) (.con)
The best way to go with this is to package the .apk file AND all the other files involved. Sometimes MSTS refuses to unpackage the .apk file and then the downloader can install the seperate files by hand.A .doc file as readme is somewhat overdone. A simple text file is much smaller and will do the job in case.Putting a .pcx file in your package is not a good idea. The file is more than 1 Mb in size and Winzip is not very good in reducing the size of graphic files.
I recommand that you do the following:
Download the free graphic tool IrfanView from http://www.irfanview.com and use that tool to convert such a .pcx file to a .jpg file.After simply saving the file as .jpg I got the size already reduced to 130 Kb. And with a little reducing to 80% I got it down to 80 Kb.Here is the result:

You can make activities, you just need to get someone to beta test it before you upload, that way you can iron out the bugs before hand. Good beta testers are worth their weight in gold. I'll bill your credit card $0.02

Hobart, hear hear on the beta testers! I have 2 good ones!bcdef, don't be so hard on yourself. this is your first one isnt it?it takes a lot of time and errors and questions. I've been doing them for just a year and I'm still learning. (and making mistakes!)

DVDHOVEN's post in this thread explains what files are needed by the rest of us to run the activities on our computer. Look it over then figure out how to upload those files, then you are on your way. You are very close! Don't give up!
