How in the world do you use the Edit Timetable box in the activity editor? I somehow got some values entered, but now I need to change them. I can only change the station arrival times, not the departure times. I've looked in the MSTS documentation but can't find the answer. I would appreciate it if someone could tell me how that box works or point me in the right direction.
Hi,You cannot change the departure time in Edit Timetable. You can influence the loading time by increasing or decreasing the number of Passengers on the particular station. I believe in the File library is a tool that you can use to change the time table.Dick van den Hoven
Actually, I figured out a reliable way of doing it after messing with it last night. Assume that you're starting out with none of the times set. When you double click on the arrival time it brings up a dialog box. Entering this time changes both the arrival and departure times to the same value. At this point you can no longer change the departure time. Every subsequent time you do this it will only change the arrival time. However, if you select an arrival time later than the departure time both will be changed to the new value. You cannot make the departure time earlier, though. If you do need to change the departure time, edit the path and unselect the station you want to change. This implicitly resets the timetable for that station. Now, edit the path again and re-select that station. Then you can edit both the departure and arrival times again.
The answer to your question and tone of other activity questions are in Rich Garbers Guide to Train Sim Activites. It is a $10.00 download in PDF format and it will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about the activity editor and then some. My only regret with it is that I did not get it sooner. Check it out. It is well worth the money in my opinion.
Never been here before. It looks like the blind leading the blind! LOLYou want to change activity times? Get activity changer, available for download. Great utilility, you can also delete or add AI trains, change times to whole minutes (essential), change time of day and season, plus weather. What more do you want?David
Hi,This usually works. Click on the arrive time and enter the arrive time Click on the arrive time again and enter the depart time Click on the arrive time again and enter the arrive time Do this for each station stop. This works for me 99% of the timeregards puddy
Hi all, you can modify ALL arriving and departure times by editing the ACT file using Wordpad.Once you open the file, you'll find a section likely this: (this sample is from my 8th activity downloadable at www.geocities.com/octaviripolles/cas/descargas )Tr_Activity_File ( Player_Service_Definition ( VALLADOLID_JUGADOR Player_Traffic_Definition ( 65400 ArrivalTime ( 65400 ) DepartTime ( 65520 ) SkipCount ( 0 ) DistanceDownPath ( 125.98 ) PlatformStartID ( 71 ) ArrivalTime ( 67800 ) DepartTime ( 67860 ) SkipCount ( 9 ) DistanceDownPath ( 61289.8 ) PlatformStartID ( 45 ) ) Ok, you can see an "ArrivalTime" and a "DepartTime" entries and a number between brackets. This is the hour in seconds from the midnight. In the sample above, this will mean that in the first station the train must arrive at 18:07:00 and depart two minutes later, then arrive at the second station at 18:50:00, and depart one minute later.Note that if you use the "Recalculate all" option in the Activity Editor after you made this changes, your work will be lost.Sorry for my bad english orique.
