I made an activity on my newly created route today, using 2 trains, and a few cars on sidings. I almost screamed when my frame rates dropped to 6. Theres not very many scenery items, and only 16 tiles on my route. How can a train with 2 engines and 10 cars next to a train with the same consist get 6fps? Can someone please help me out? I have a 64mb card, 256k memory, and a pentium 3. Thanx

Your computer is at the bare minimums for MSTS. Even with a good video card you will not get decent performance as the processor is bottlenecking the game.

Are you using custom scenery and/or custom rolling stock? Custom objects look nice but eat system processor and video card cycles because of their great detail. (large polygon count per object)
Even using the default rolling stock if you place a few static consists in yards and sidings will eat frame rates big time.Regards,
