Do they even run unit coal trains though marias pass? if they do where are the activities? i've been looking for some, but maybe i'm looking in the wrong place. if there aren't any someone please design some. one of my favorite things when i was growing up was watching the coal trains thunder by at my grandparents house in Mitchell, Ne. The tracks were about 100 feet away from their front door, the whole house would shake when one would go by hehe it was awesome.

RE: Marias Pass Coal Activities

Joel, If you don't care about the location and only that it's coal then I have 3 for you. The OhioPak3.zip in the download area is all about coal. Three activities with empties up the line then full coming back. Then OhioAct4.zip with more coal plus mixed freight. And soon OhioAct5.zip and OhioAct6.zip where the coal is delivered to the barge port area of the Ohio RR route by Rich Garber. I got coal for you.OneRailRat

Oh. It's you, who have done those great activities. I have tried first three of your activities to orr.I got my loco's coupler broken, when i backed p to second locomotive on first coal run. And my speed was aömost two miles per hour. Stupid msts, and stupid bugs. LOL best was, i derailed once on orr, when i droe 20 miles per hour when limit was 40 miles per hour.

RE: Marias Pass Coal Activities

Hi Joel,I' ve created a coal activity for (Default) Marias in two Parts: First from Whitefish to Essex, second from Essex to Shelby, but it's not finished yet. Presently, it ends at Spotted Robe. If you are interested, I can try to pack it and email it to you (so you'll become a sort of "Beta Tester").
I noticed a post a week ago, someone asking for new activities for Marias. I have several, but they use many non-default locos. I have to "analyse" which ones, before I can give it to others and so I was not thinking of uploading them. But if there's more interest for them, I will try.Gerdgerd.peter@q-l-f.de

RE: Marias Pass Coal Activities

The sure do run coal trains there... Loads go west and empties go east. I think there was an activity 'night grain' that was converted for MP3. I started working on a new one recently but ran into coupler problems at Java, so I put this one to rest until I'm finished with the more complete activities.Frank Inklaar

Hey,The C-SCMCEC (Load) and E-CECSCM (Empty) runs on this line, this is the only coal train that runs on this route, I believe, unless the C-SCMRBE/E-RBESCM runs on this line also. Symbol: SCM=Spring Creek Mine, ND, CEC=Centralia, WA, RBE=Roberts Bank, BC. The CEC runs 3-5 sets, ranging from 105, 110, 111, 120, 125.
The RBE runs 110, 125 car sets, ten times in the summer, twice in the winter.Power:
CEC: SD70MACs (Cream and Green, H2, or the "Vommit Bonnet", SD60 (Oakway) SD60M, Dash 9s.RBE: SD70MACs for one set, SD60/SD60M, or SD40-2sType of cars: BNSF (All versions) BN (All Versions) CEFX, (Silver and Purple?)I hope this helps, I don't know what times they run over the hill, but I am sure it would be in the morning hours after/following Amtrak 27/28.
