RE: GN Electric update

Michael,Unrelated question, but if I remember correctly, you are doing the NP over Stampede. If so, could you tell me just where the NP had double track, if anywhere, between Ellensburg and Martin?I have to add this part of the NP to my MILW route as they are so close to each other.Besides, will make some nice opportunities for AI trains. Thanks,
Todd

RE: GN Electric update

Hi Todd,Yup l was doing the NP route but another guy was way ahead of me but got stalled in RE as he couldnt add more tiles, rather than double job a route l simply offered all my tiles, markers and tracks to him, he should be tacking them onto his route so that he can finish off.l'll check with him later and see how hes getting on for you.l'll dig through my notes but there are quite a few double track sections near the MILW, Easton round to Cabin Creek now called West Easton is one and that passes right under the MILW as it crosses over the NP and heads up Keechelus lake.Best regardsMichael

RE: GN Electric update

Thanks for the assistance Michael. I'm not worried about getting the NP route exact as it is "scenery" as far as I'm concerned, but getting the main things right is important.I figure on including it from Ellensburg as far as Martin/Stampede Tunnel, and then of course the area between Tacoma and Seattle will have it as they were in close proximity there also.Speaking of the bridge at Easton, I've asked some Milwaukee friends if they might have some pics of the bridge and it was mentioned that a lot of NP pics were taken there. Any chance you might know of any shots available on the net? Thanks again for the help,
Todd

Where are the screenshots?
Sounds very interesting. Is it based on existing Seattle route or you doing it from the scratch?

Mickoo, god bless your heart, is doing a lot for the PacWest and myself. So you ended Stampede pass and you went to my absolute favorite STEVENS PASS. It seems you are doing the old route up to Wellington? Are you also doing the New Cascade tunnel as well? I have studied hours upon hours about the GN on Stevens Pass and I know every date important on that railroad. I even use to live on the line in Index. If you have any questions about anything, I am your man.

Guys, the screen shot issue goes much deeper, l've tried to upload to my web shot folder and a Yahoo group, basically nothing is getting out, mail in and out is fine and web stuff in is fine but no web stuff out. Its not a firewall problem but looks like a ISP issue and there blocking anything l want to upload, l am working on it .Ok as for the rest, yes l'm doing the lot, technically l cant run both the old and new road unless its time defined to 1928/9, but l'm going to leave them in as well as the old Tumwater canyon section alongside the Chumstick cutoff. It will be electric and the drawings for the locos are on order from the US.NYC l may take you up on the info soon , as an interim can l send you the 5 screen images l have and can you post them up, there all under 100k and meet the criteria, l did use to be able to post but wham this weekend it all died, just feel like lots of ommlette on my face for not getting the images up .Best regardsMichael

Crikey! That's impressive! Another route to watch! I'm glad you got the pix to come through finally. In that last scene, is that a run-away track up on the right?Timtimmuir@wcn.net

TimWell l got diverted for a few days on another project but it is coming along well, to be fair laying track is the pretty easy bit, especially if your not aming for 100% accuaracy, assute viewers will notice that Wellington is straight but as we all know there isnt a straight piece of track between Wellington and Scenic, l think GN went made at the track store and bought too many bent bits ! .Yes that is a run off track on the far right, next to it is the loco hole with water tower and coal facilities ( to be built ), since closed under electric times.I am still toying with adding the switch back section too, that runs up behind the photographer in the Wellington view and over to Cascade station, thats 3.5% on the East side and 4% on the West. sadly though l think RE will auto add the overhead wires, l'll have to poncer that issue later. The image issue was my ISP, local hub port crashed so they diverted me to another 8080 port temporarily, it only affected sites that use the 8080 port connection, thats why it was a bit hit and miss on which sites did and didnt play ball.Right time to grade some more scenery , this PC isssue has taken far too much of my time away from the GN Electric route.Best regardsMichael

RE: GN Electric update

hey Mickoo, I hope you do take me up on that. First of all, the original Cascade Tunnel has the best portal I have ever seen. Are you going to model that. And second, are you going to place the 7 miles of snowshed betweem Scenic and Tye, Wellington.
