RE: DSPPRR (C&S) route mapping more help needed...
Jonathon, If you look at the aerial of that area, you can just barely see the wye. I have marked it in the attached photo. Now don't take this as gospel, but I believe I am right. It matches what information I have in a book here. The book is "Tracking Ghost Railroads in Colorado" BTW, I just got back from South Park today. I need to get my pictures sorted and renamed, but I have some for you. I will get them up on the web space provided by my ISP sometime in the next 48 hours. I'll e-mail the link to you.

When a old RR grade is is on the maps I never download the aerials. I live over 6,000 miles so it is to far away for me take photos along the line.http://groups.msn.com/MSTSNarrowGauge Jonathan Lewis jonathanmlewis@msn.com

RE: DSPPRR (C&S) route mapping more help needed...
>It is nice/interesting to see that the track is still there >in some places. Yeah, I was surprised to see that. It was just that one place at McGee's. The rails were intact right up to their property line. On the other side of the fence it was gone. Makes you wonder if they made a deal with the railroad to leave it back then, or if they refused to let the dismantling team onto their land. I wanted to ask and see if the current owners knew the story behind that, but no one was home. <shrug>
