This is a great route, but, on the Avon to Marion activity, using the default consist, I can't get by a decoupling at the east end of the Hart Yard. That's a little to the west of MP 233.I have tried this a dozen times, at a variety of speeds from 25 to 65 (speed limit is 60), and without fail I get an "activity ended, coupler broken message. All of the cars in the consist have the increased coupler strength fix that was distributed eons ago.Any ideas?Quentin

Maybe you should try making the couplers even stronger than the fix suggests.Jonathan Nikiforovs.

I don't have the route in question, but it sounds like the classic switch node timing quirk that MSTS is now known for. I suspect this uncoupling area is after a long, uninterupted (by a switch) section of trackage, right? If so, there's not anything you can truly do about it without placing a switch somewhere near the middle of that run. If you do, your installation of Indy Rail will become a new version. A version that will NOT match the standard version... so no one's activities will run on your installation and vice versa. If the above is correct, then it falls to either the creator of the route, or some other soul, to "fix" the situation, and issue an updated version of the route, and "old" version passes away to oblivion. I'm tempted to do this with Marias Pass, as well as "fixing" some of the KUJU placed yard/town trackage into more usable representations. However, don't hold your breath on that one.Another thing that I feel aggrevates the situation is that APPARENTLY an Activity does NOT employ beefed up break strengths and so forth. The beefed up values help during Explore, but perhaps NOT during an activity. Go figure.Andre Ming

You might want to try drifting through at or around 15-mph. That has worked most of the time for the problem at Cutbank on the various iterations of Marias Pass. Just think of it as a severe slow order.Take care,Henry

Yeah, this is one of the less complex solutions. I've worked with this a lot. Just take it easy through there. The break values on some of those car racks were really low too. I'm trying 1.6e7N now.
With reduced speed, it got me through the first truck-ripper. We'll see how it goes. Nice route though. Gotta respect the work.

Hi,
Make sure to update the Damping vals to have the /s. This really solved the problem for me. I make it through any problem areas at any speed now. You can also try increasing the DerailBufferForce.
