Is there a place on the web where a person can get an accurate map of a route to build? For example, if I want to build the MBTA commuter route, can I locate a map of the rail system and all the stations contained in it with mileposts and everything?
I am working on the MBTA and it seems that I'm off on a few things.Joe simerjoe@cox.net
Hi Joe,I use "New England Railfan Timetable #2". It covers everything in the Northeast. I have the Feb. 1995 edition but I'm sure the tracks haven't moved much since then.Details; Name as above. Published by, Royal Oak Publishing-P.O. Box 7140-Garden City New York11530-7140. Don't remember the price. As a check, I just did a search on the Web "Railfan AND Maps". Got over 200 pages of sites.
Hi JoeNot sure if you live south of Boston or not, but the Libraries in West Bridgewater and Norton have a reference book titled "Professional railroad atlas of North America". Maybe a search of libraries near you would uncover this. Here's a link that describes the book.http://altamontpress.com/catalog/atlas1.htmlregards, Patrick
