This time I'm backing-up after each session.
(It's so easy to be wise in hindsight, isn't it? )A few pix follow.......A Taste of NSW: Work restarts – image 1
This shot is what it's all about: The middle of a hot, dry summer's day somewhere near Lithgow, some scraggy gum trees, the old standard G3 goods shed, and a single 80-Class hauling about 20 empty hoppers on the way to Lidsdale colliery.A Taste of NSW: Work restarts – image 2
The wide, open spaces of the Midwest Slopes & Plains.A Taste of NSW: Work restarts – image 3
Somewhere, anywhere on the Main Southern Line.A Taste of NSW: Work restarts – image 4
Passing a small farm (obviously not under drought conditions!). The typical cypress/pine windbreaks can be seen on the ridgelines and there's even the ubiquitous Poplar trees in full summer foliage.A Taste of NSW: Work restarts – image 5
Same farm, different angle. The 80 starts to notch up as the grade into the Blue Mts. steepens.Work continues - albeit with now pain's-taking slowness! Regards,
Bruce.
