RE: Please Help Uploading Problem for Central Valley
Why not you copy & paste error message in cuteftp so anyone can give help? And wish what I said below will not too later. If you want to reduce your texture directory size.First please check these .ace file date. How many are 5/8/2001 or before? How many are later? All these files that before this day can be eliminate from install package by Route-Riter in theory. Then these new files (e.g. not origianl MSTS have). Use TGATools check each other. To see it's compress mode. For these files are without alpha or trans. If it's not DXT compressed. You can compress it to DXT1 format to reduce filesize. Even it's zlib compressed (If TGATools show compressed not DXT compress, then it's zlib loseless compressed). Since judge from my video card quality, I think loseless compressed texture files are decompressed and then compressed by some DXT format before load into video card buffer. So compress it first is always a better way. And use TView you can easily recompress these files. But check file format are a very time consumed works. TView are made by same author of TGATools http://www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk/ It give good quality on DXT1 compress than makeace. Support multi-files convert and overwrite original file(always backup first). You can move these files need convert to a new directory first to easily do it.For all other files if not compressed (alpha,trans,1024,cabview or menu interface). Use zlib compressed. I recommend MakeAceWin.Hope say these too much is not annoying.

Thanks, I understand what you are saying. I tried using route riter to reduce size up textures, but the route riter would start and then freeze up. I will do my darnest to reduce this size this weekend. Since then, I have uploaded the full route in one zip this morning as well as the shape zip for the multiple zips of central valley, the multiple zips was for those dial up users while the full zip is for those have high speed cable downloading
