Aug-03-01, 12:51 PM (EST) "Start the Subways Rollin'!" I go the answer to something that was buggin' me ---Using the Y and ` keys, it is possible to "cut and cover" your tunnel track...well we all know this, but I went a little further.Building a subterranean station or station area is all that is needed, I'm pretty sure. What you do is take your "favorite" $4000+ 3d modelling program and create any enclosed type of staion that has the requisite space between platforms. It must be solid and non-transparent!!!Lay your tunnel track as above. When you get to the station lay ordinary track at that depth. Mind you your 3d model must be the EXACT length or the regular track. position your station while the grond is contoured to the track, and lastly add another tunnel track. OF COURSE YOU HAVE SAVED AT EVERY STEP. But you get one chance to whack that ` key! Now press Y and your ground contours to the new tunnel section.Rmember this is tricky, and God help you if you screw up with the ` key, it undoes only the last terrain mod. Use a track section at ground level with Y to salvage it - hopefully LOL.All I need to test this is a 100 meter long completely enclosed station, one track. Anyone want to help? But I know this will work. Also if you want to have some fun, try this without the station. Instead of deraling, the train just flies off into the sky... I almost p***ed myself laughing. Aug-03-01, 09:05 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Start the Subways Rollin'!" I've had good luck with jp1shinjukutunnel.s, which is apparently a big curved station overhead with no platform. Makes a good roof.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-05-01 AT 09:07 PM (EST)Got the white water problem when I was working on one of my routes, did a search (seriously slowed down by that guy who puts "can only be quenched by coal and water") and found the answer (dynamictrack too close to water), but before that I was poking around trying to figure it out myself, thinking it had something to do with how far the river bottom was under the water, I saw this:

The underside of the water.
It seems to have no HOM or tearing effects, and might be something workable - dig the trench, lay the track, set tile water height to a few meters above the track. You could make it as wide as you want, but would have to camoflauge the top somehow if it would be visible from above. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
