RE: Route Builder Guide

I believe so, but then I am not the best judge in this matter! Let others offer their opinions. The book contains a small route building project that guides you through every step that you will need to build your own routes later. You can then deepen your knowledge as you wish in other sections of the book. You can see a brief pre-view at my web site: http://avsim.com/hangar/utils/mvchallenges/mstsguide/MSTSguide.html

RE: Route Builder Guide

I must confess I don't have it (yet), as I don't really build routes.
But, if your parents want to see what it can do, show them Albula2 by Michael Vone.
This freeware route by the same author is one of the very best ever made for MSTS, paywares included.
Should convince !Love and Peace

RE: Route Builder Guide

I haven't got it but you seem to have a good attitude for someone your age.It is my considered opinion that you should get it..you might not create your dream route but you will learn a lot about approaching and solving problems...that in itself is very good for your future.!!!
As someone said " A route in MSTS is never finished..it is just less incompl.."
Good luck..and lots of hard work..

RE: Route Builder Guide

Hi Rob,Yes, go out and buy it, although you can build routes without the guide, it will take you much longer and you will still be on here every week asking 'How do I do this...' types of questions. If it's not in this book, then it does not exist (well nearly ).Good luck with your first routeMike

Hi Rob:You never know if you don't try. Route building is tough - but it's SO much easier with the guide. Be patient and you will do it.Mark

RE: Route Builder Guide

If you have never messed around in RE or know how to exactly build a route, it would be very instrumental. For me, (I'm 18 and have messed around in RE, failed at my first attempts at route building, but have learned) you learn it through experience. From what I have heard this guide is very good and it will help someone like yourself. There are thing's I still am learning and your best bet is also to read a lot on this forum. Just make sure your parents also buy you track charts,...it's for learning sake.NS4Life
