I found some things in my object selector that for some reason i didnt notice and dont remember putting in there and when I try to place them I get "No extended shape data for AshphaltPlat10mEnd.s" there seems to be a bunch of these simularly names items there are Asphalt, Marble, White, Plat and somethings cr212wna... anybody got a clue where these came from and where i can find them to actually be able to use?Robert Mapplebeck Minneapolis / St Paul WCF&N Rwy. Have you installed revised tsection.dat files in your machine? If so, it could be shapes that's in the .dat files, but not on your machine. After installing XTracks 3.4 and tsection.dat 11, new shapes appeared under my track sections/road sections for which I have not installed the add-on packs to access. Thus, should I select one for placement, RE will not find the corresponding files it needs.Least ways, the above is my understanding.Andre
Well, this is what I was starting to think my self as it really was the only thing that I have done that might have caused this... I just downloaded ver 15 and the new roads that are in the downloads... guess I will have to try to figure out who has the other stuff thats missingRobert Mapplebeck Minneapolis / St Paul WCF&N Rwy. Only if you want to access the stuff. Otherwise it's a minor inconvenience of scrolling past the redundancy to get to the items you have installed. As for me, I'll stick with the current tsection.dat I have installed until such time arrives that I want to access some new add-on, then I'll update.Every time you update your tsection.dat you get longer and longer lists in the RE object window to scroll through in order to get to the stuff you use. No way I'm going to try to add all that stuff onto my hard drive when the bulk of it would just sit there and take up space anyway. Andre
I was kinda going along that same thinking, but decided as long as im building I will have as much as I can have to have the max choices for the scenery, and with all the add on utilites for sorting and cataloging the shapes and then to clean the ref file, i figure why not... when Im all done with the route and adding buildings and trees and such, then I will go back thru it and remove whats not needed and then clean the ref again... maybe im adding alot of steps to the process, but for me its working I guess Robert Mapplebeck Minneapolis / St Paul WCF&N Rwy.
