Well, made lots of improvements to the route this morning, adding about 6 miles of scenery. Then I did the no no. Saved while I still had a tree selected, and now I'm getting Bill's business card when loading the route. (Damn brain farts anyway.....)I can still access it with no problem in RE, and deleted all the trees in the last batch to make sure I got the particular one.No joy. *argh*Anyway to save this thing so I don't lose hours of work?(Yes, I have backups. Rather not have to go back if I don't have to though)Thanks, Todd
One possibility is to restore the last-saved *.w file for the tile in question. Typically, what happens in such a case is that the *.w file gets corrupted (it will often show a much smaller size than its last backup *~w.bk). So delete the bad *.w file (after backing it up somewhere else) and rename the corresponding *~w.bk file to *.w. If you don't know which *.w file is bad, look for the latest one (timewise) in the WORLD folder: it is probably smaller than its corresponding *~w.bk file.I hope this helps. Thanks for the quick reply Michael.However, I figured out that I had a bigger brain fart than I thought. Yes, I saved while a tree was selected. However, I had also cut in a crossover in this town earlier.Yes, it was a broken path. *duh*I think I need a break after planting all those trees........However, as I have saved while selected a few times before, I am going to file this away.
