Sorry if this is getting old but here's another new 'older home.'Another new building – image 1This is an adaptation from a HO Timberline Scale Products pic I saw in Model Railroader 7/97 pg. 37. It uses roughly the same measurements as the previous home, 25' x 40' to be exact. In the back is a very small deck with stairs leading down. Poly count: 888. Texture: x1 @ 133KThis home is meant to fit somewhere between rural and small urban towns. Hope you can find some use for it.I'll upload tomorrow.Rich Garber

RE: Another new building

Found and soon to be used.
Keep them coming Rich. Actually this looks a lot like my crib at the beach.
Nah you've got it wrong. Down here a crib is the name given to holiday homes.
Up North from here they are called batches just to confuse you all some more.
Nice work and very appreciated.
Cheers

It was titled HO Bungalow in the MR caption. Looked like a nice building to have in the route. I'm thinking about darkening of the wood slats a bit. It's much darker in the picture than I have it. Won't take but a second to do and then upload.Another new building – image 2Another new building – image 3Building tilt is not included. Sold separately.Rich Garber(edit: added pics)

Darn, it was the tilt that did it for me as it matches the fact that I need to do a little repiling on my crib/batch/holiday home/bungalow.
Definitely looks better darkened.

A greater variety of buildings to use on our routes will *never* get old! That's another beauty, I'm sure it'll find many good "homes".Thanks!Henry

RE: Another new building

Hi Rich,No, it's definitely not getting 'old'! I've downloaded your other buildings and they're great. In fact, I don't think we have enough old buildings for people who might be building routes from the 1900s or other earlier time period. I know I'll definitely find plenty of use for your house and commercial buildings on my Pacific Electric route. Keep up the good work! Chris

RE: Another new building

Rich,Please keep cranking out the buildings. There are none better. Perfect scale, lots of little details that add realism and interest, great textures, and somehow you still manage to keep the ace files small. You are on a roll. Don't slow down now. Thanks,
Bill Burnett

RE: Another new building

Houses... trees... little things... you name it; we need more of everything. I've got to where I'm halfway through to Wheeling and I really don't want to see another default building on the route. I sure know what you all mean; I'm right there with ya. My next project isn't a house though. I do want to get at least three more done. I need to do a cattle stock pen thingy so I can finish up Barnesville.Rich Garber

RE: Another new building

As they said, there are two things we never have enough of: Scenery objects and Hard Drive Space!!!(CPU Speed, time, oh well I guess there are more than two!)
A hint, suggestion, what ever; I would love to see some entire residentual blocks where an entire block of several houses could be placed as one object. Each face would have a different look. This has been done for downtown blocks, but not residentual. Make them a little smaller than a regular block and they would be easier to place because the extra space is lawn (grass), and if you happen to have a small block the houses would still fit in without sitting in the street!
Anyway, good work guy. Keep em comin.
Larry

RE: Another new building

"Sorry if this is getting old ....etc."
Rich, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to create these models; they are much sought-after and very, very welcome.Buildings of all types and sizes are essential in order to provide our routes with a wide variety and the fact that you create low-calorie, reduced-cholesterol versions is a wonderful side benefit.I have neither the raw data, patience or skill to create a route from scratch, but I do like "kit bashing" (an old modelling term, for the uninitiated) and creations such as yours help enormously.Thank you.Bruce.

RE: Another new building

Thanks folks, I didn't mean for my 'sorry if this is getting old' to sound like an expression of 'false humility' or a need for attention getting. I'm not suggesting I'm doing anything that other folks aren't doing. All these buildings I'm uploading are included in my route. Hitting this rural area of Ohio, we just don't have any buildings in the default that represent rural or even remotely give the impression of rural America. Well, and old time America too.Rich Garber
