This new route includes The Flint Subdivision From Durand Michigan to Port Huron Michigan, The Holly Subdivision, from Durand Michigan through Pontiac Michigan to Milwaukee Jct. in Detroit, The Mount Clemens Subdivision From Port Huron to Milwaukee Jct in Detroit, Milwaukee Jct. to Flat Rock Yard Southwest of Detroit, and The Shore Line Subdivision from Milwaukee Jct. to Toledo Ohio. This route will have the correct DEM from the DEM-EX program, track has not been layed out has of yet but will be soon. And as soon as I place those big blue markers to I know where to lay the correct track and mile markers. The time period for this route is mid 1990's to present. I hope you guys will enjoy this route when its done and I will keep you guys updated every so often with pics to show you the progress of this route.

RE: CN/GTW Route Now In Progress

This sounds great I grow up in the Westland area, but had friends and family that live in the Rouge area and Southwest Detroit so I know this not going to be and easy route to do. But I have to say I will love to get and run it. Southwest Detroit and South to Ohio will be fun to make. Good luck and can't wait to beable to us it. Fred

RE: CN/GTW Route Now In Progress

Will have to see you during Durand Railroad Days May 16, 17, 18. The SRV club will be upstairs in the depot. The double diamond at the depot is a good railfanning site and Amtrack stops there as well. (If they don't abandon the run before then.)You have a big project ahead of you as that is a lot of track and it will cross a section point in the RE. Terraserver will give you a good look at the landscape. You got some big yards ahead of you to model and lots of heavy industry in the Flint and Detroit area.SRV Ron
