I downloaded the weeds from the file library and when I go into the RE they do not show up under vegetation. I doubled clicked on the .bat file as the instructions indicated and moved the .ace files to the terrain folder. Any help would be appreciated.Carey

Since you did not mention it, I will ... There should have been a segment of text for you to copy to your route's REF file. Unless / Until you do that, the new object will not show up.If you've not worked with the REF file before be aware that it's in Unicode. Basically that means you need to open it up with Notepad and make sure it gets saved in the same format.Hope this helps.Dave Mikulec Ohio Southeastern System a freelanced route through the New River Gorge (laying track)
DO NOT open it with notepad. Notepad will NOT save in unicode format. Use WORDPAD. Also, if you use the reference file entries supplied with the weeds, you will end up with three classes in the object window of RE. These are "vegitation", "vegitation-trees", and "vegitation-weeds". The first is the default. The second includes Jim's new dead trees and the last contains the weeds in numerous varieties.Cal Rasmussen Beaverton, OR cal.rasmussen@verizon.netColumbia Gorge Route (Phase 1 track completed. I've been using notepad for all of my editing and I've not had a problem saving in Unicode.Maybe there are different versions? See attached.Dave Mikulec Ohio Southeastern System a freelanced route through the New River Gorge (laying track)The Nickel Plate Project http://rdimages.com/MSTS_NKP/
That must be XP. Notepad in all other versions of Windows does not support unicode.Cal Rasmussen Beaverton, OR cal.rasmussen@verizon.netColumbia Gorge Route (Phase 1 track completed. Taking a TSM break!)

You can install them as forest objects or static objects. I did both.Cal Rasmussen Beaverton, OR cal.rasmussen@verizon.netColumbia Gorge Route (Phase 1 track completed. Taking a TSM break!)
