Take a look at "dumb roads" in the library. From that, you can probably figure out which texture file (.ace) is used for the four-lane road. Then you need to create another set of dumb four-lane road sections using a modified (repainted) texture file.I wouldn't recommend trying this with live roads. Even if you locate the correct texture file, if you change it, it will not only affect the road you are working on, but any other four-lane roads already in your route or that you might add in the future.Cal Rasmussen Beaverton, OR cal.rasmussen@verizon.netColumbia Gorge Route (Phase 1 track completed. Taking a TSM break!)
Cal makes a valid point about modifying the existing roadway shape files, but I strongly disagree with the point about needing to do it with "dumb roads". What we need are a whole lot of new roadway shapes to add to the route builder's tool kit. And that's where I come into this as they would wind up in the standardized \global\tsection.dat file. I have made a couple of attempts at roadway sectin naming convention, refer to these posts:http://www.train-sim.com/cgi/dcforum/dcboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=5722&forum=DCForumID6 http://www.train-sim.com/cgi/dcforum/dcboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=5898&forum=DCForumID6There is reference to intersections not being included, that has been solved. Drop me a line if you want to start creating roadways and I can get you a block of id numbers and we can further discuss naming.David Beach.Palouse & LewistonRoute Building 1% Completed Route Mapping 10% Completed Route Photo Map 100% Completed (Now, Can I make the Railroad Profile match the photo map?)

Ah, another project I haven't touched in a while. If someone wants to work out what we need (and all the names of the files), I'll do the grunt work and actually assemble the files. I just haven't been too interested in trying to build all of the names for the sections, so this is in stasis while I work on more interesting things.
Send me a list of section descriptions and I will provide you with my preferred file name for each.David Beach.Palouse & LewistonRoute Building 1% Completed Route Mapping 10% Completed Route Photo Map 100% Completed (Now, Can I make the Railroad Profile match the photo map?)
