After much consideration, I have decided to fire all of the track layers and announce that all of the track has been laid, that is going to be laid. This means that the NS will terminate at Glenita, VA. When I eventually upload the route, I will include a full marker file (now approaching 3M in size) so that if someone is ambitious enough to attempt to create the Natural Tunnel, they will know where to put it, and if they create it as a scenery object, maybe they will share it with the rest of us - but artist of that degree I isn't.This afternoon, I spent the best part of 2 hours putting in a retaining wall at Caney Jct., and also at Elkhorn City, so I just cannot take the time to produce a major scenery item - now if someone wants to try, I will be glad to send electronic images of the site - got lots of those including some from INSIDE THE TUNNEL, where the public is no longer allowed. My E-mail is jhsulliv@attbi.com The retaining walls don't really exist in the real world, but limitations in how steep you can make an embankment require them in this sim.By the way, I was picking around in the Auranz group and note that a Clinchfield has been or is being done in that venue as well - but I don't recognise any of the locations they show.J. It's what they (the creators) classify as a "prototype style" in order to distinguish same from the "model train" style of layouts at the core of Trainz. With the release of Trainz in its latest form there is support for proto-length tracks so I would hazard a guess that more real-world lines will appear over time.At the moment there is only one DEM-created proto-route for Trainz and that is Marias Pass, being created in three sections - which can then be merged into one total route very simply. However, Trainz aside, I am certainly looking forward to the day that your Clinchfield is ready to roll out the door. Regards, Bruce.
The Clinchfield that is available for Trainz was released by TrainzProRoutes. The Clinchfield was the inspiration for the Trainz layout and provided its theme. The route is very well done and the scenery is simply awesome. The TrainzProRoutes group is focused on releasing high quality routes for Trainz. Some of them will be prototype, some semi prototype, and others fictional. All will maintain a high standard for the scenery. You can see some screen shots of it and their other routes at http://www.trainzproroutes.com. I am looking forward to your Clinchfield route when you have it finished. I have enjoyed the screenshots that have been posted here on the forum.Cheers, --Woodbrdge Woodbridge's Train Simulation Craftsman Magazine http://www.trainsimmodeler.com

It travels from Elkhorn City to Hewitt tunnel - a distance of 14 miles. Only textured, it is nevertheless accurate including grades, sidings, tunnels, and the Haysi spur. If interested, I can re-upload it. I have some basic pics posted in the Clinchfield forum at 3DTrains.Cheers! Marc - 3DTrains http://www.3dtrains.comPro Series Super Packs
