I downloaded and installed Mark Toland's pickup objects (hoppers, fuel depot, etc.), and I'm trying to get things to work. I've added them successfully to a route, but when driving a freight car through it doesn't appear to work. I know that it's animated as I checked the animate this object check box to see (I didn't leave it this way though). I can see the little-purple square in the middle, and the file properties show it as a freight coal loader.I start by drive a single diesel with one freight car and then stop in the center of the pickup object (in this case, the big hopper) and hold down the 'T' key. FWIW, the following line was added to my freight car:
IntakePoint ( 2.2 0.4 FreightCoal )
FreightAnim( Coal.s 0.1 0.925 )
I'm not worried about animating the load, just to know that the hopper facility is working or not. Mark added an animated light for users to know that the hopper was operating. Mine, as installed, does not.The purpose of this is to model operating coal tipples for Jerry's KP sub, and would like to test animated and non-animated theories. Any suggestions?Cheers!

Marc, I've had the same problems with his models and have no theories and can't help, but will be watching to see if anyone else can help with this.

RE: Operating Pickup Object Loading Facilities

Is it possible to switch, eg. from an empty coal hopper to a full one via the pickups? Or am I just fooling around?

Marc, where did you get the files? After all the hell I went through trying to get this to work, I'm dying to take a look at it!
