I will upload it then I get to rico and when I have done some other stuff to it like adding more hills and buiulding and the boring stuff. It should be for beta testing hopefully it the next 8 to 12 weeks (I hope). And uploaded it the next 16 weeks. It may seem like a long time but I still have alot to do.Jonathan

JonathanIsn't "placeville" suppose to be "Placerville." You also mispelled "Ridgway."Jonathan, you seem so excited about this route. I beg and plead to do it with real DEM's!! You're doing a great job but it makes no sense to just make the terrain as you go. These other people will agree that doing it right will make a huge difference. Its even easier than you'd think. PLEASE RECONSIDER!!Nick

If I start using real DEM's will I need to start all over again. I am using Mapamrt.com to place in all the hills.

>>If I start using real DEM's will I need to start all over again.Yes. Unfortunately you will. BUT, the route will look great if you do. >>I am using Mapamrt.com to place in all the hills. Are you just using maps from there though? You'll need the DEM's. DEM's will be 100% accurate, and won't make your hills look like Mesas (like they do by creating them yourself) Your way seems a lot harder than using the real terrain. It takes a big time investment at first but it will pay off. Are you in more of a hurry to get it done, or make it look right? Every person in the forum that is making a real route has gone through these steps. Only people that make fantasy routes would make the terrain up like you have. Nick
