Progress is much slower than anticipated. There have not been many changes to the route - this "upgrade" is simply a rework to remove the problems with the track database and fix the track misalignments in Chama and Cumbres. There are a couple of things that are taking me much longer than expected. First, that pesky group of folks at work are asking me to do more than work on the route. They have very skewed priorities. Second, I'm trying to take care of quite a few terrain undercuts and spillovers, which is really taking the bulk of the time. I've been working from Antonito toward Chama, and got to Cumbres last night. So I should be able to get the rest of the route completed in a couple of days. However, I'll be out of town all week, so I don't expect to be able to post the update before next weekend.Like I said, there are no MAJOR changes. In fact, the sagebrush "forests" on the east end of the route have disappeared, due to the fact that I had to go back to a backup that did not have those in place. As a bonus, however, I think I've fixed the transparent tunnel portal problems. I built some new tunnel sections (without track) with the Toltec Rock texture on the inside, and with some rearranging of the texture patches on the outside of the tunnels, I think they will be significantly improved. I've also started placing telegraph poles from Chama eastward, and have them placed as far as Lobato.I hope that by this time next week, I'll have both the route and some screenshots for everyone. Andy

Thanks, It will be great for all of the problems to be solved from the "patch of doom". I have made a few adjustments to the route myself and thought it would be interesting to share. Most recently, I have added the Ash pit at Chama. Also, I have built up Chama and Antonito, accuratly named all sidings and stations, and have made ajustments Osier and Sublette too. Oh yeah, I also placed water columns (along with water tanks) at Chama, Cresco, Cumbres, Sublette, Osier, and Antonito. I'm anxiously awaiting the updated route. Keep up the good work!John

John:I like the little trestle in the screen shot. And it sounds like it may be better to just hand the route over to you! You've made some nice additions from the sound of it. Once the "update" gets posted, feel free to add on to it and repost it - I think everyone would benefit from that. Andy
