RE: Double Slip Switches?

Download XTracks 3.3, read instructions and install, then download the XTracks route (sample showing all sorts of neat things that can be done), look at it, study it, then create your double slip.Lawrence

RE: Double Slip Switches?

When you do get around to creating the double slip, I recommend that you DON'T use the pre-constructed double slip (A1tdblslp something or other...) because it is NOT symmetrical and it requires placement of the little extension piece to make it work. You can make a beautiful double slip out of the 3d or 6d modular that is usable in any configuration and will keep your track spaced properly. As Lawrence mentions, they are all visible on the test route.Jeff Leslie

RE: Double Slip Switches?

It's lika a crossing only you can select either exit,
like a couple of switches on top of each other.

RE: Double Slip Switches?

DOes the dblslipEnd piece cause a jump to the tracks? I can see the train make a slight jump when driving through a doubleslip.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-18-02 AT 06:09 PM (EDT)

A double slip switch is when the switch between the two tracks cross each other in an X-form, compared to a normal, where switch T1-T2 goes first, then switch T2-T1. I tried to draw it, but it is not easy to do it on this.
